SPORTS DAY: CRICKET BATTING & TAP RACES

Sports Day puts quick sports behind one start screen. In Cricket the bowler changes line, length and pace every ball, and you tap just as the ball reaches the white line: good timing hits fours and sixes, a late swing edges it, and a straight ball you miss knocks the stumps over. Chase the computer's score or go for your best.

The Tap Race is all rhythm: tap left, right, left, right, because the same side twice does nothing and splashing too fast wastes the stroke. Pick swimming with a turn at the wall in the 100 metres, a track sprint, horse racing with one final push on the home straight, rowing or a kayak, and race five computer racers for places and times.

WHAT THIS EXAMPLE SHOWS

Phone-first sports games behind one menu: Cricket batting where you time your shot, a Tap Race where you tap left and right to swim, sprint, gallop a horse, row or paddle a kayak, plus Air Hockey, a friendly Boxing match and pass-the-phone Hopscotch. Use the sample to name the audience, the main action, and the smallest useful first version. Cleo HQ then helps turn your own brief into a product plan and a working build.

QUESTIONS FOUNDERS ASK

Which sports are in the pack?

Cricket batting, the Tap Race (swim, sprint, horses, rowing or kayak), Air Hockey, a friendly Boxing match and Hopscotch for up to four players. Each has its own setup screen with plain choices, like overs to bat or the race distance. A founder who asks for one, say a horse racing game, gets just that game with its own title screen.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. It is built for a phone held upright first, with big buttons and taps. Cricket is one tap anywhere on the screen to swing the bat, and every race has two large left and right pads for your thumbs. On a computer it plays the same way with the mouse, or with the space bar and the arrow keys instead.

Can kids play it, and is there any money or betting?

Kids can play every game. Cricket has an easy timing setting that widens every window, and the computer racers can be set to easy. Scores are runs, places and times only. Horse racing has no betting, odds or tips, there are no prizes or money anywhere, and there are no real teams, players or brand names in the games.
