TOP-DOWN WORLD: COLLECT, GROW, SNEAK & HERD

Top-Down World puts one character on a map bigger than the screen, with the camera following as you move. Steer with the arrow keys or WASD, or drag anywhere on a phone. Collect mode asks you to pick up every item before the clock runs down, whether that is a unicorn gathering rainbows, a bee visiting flowers, a bin truck on its round or a frog snapping up flies.

The other three modes change the rules, not the controls. In Eat and grow you swallow anything smaller and steer clear of anything bigger until you are the largest fish, shark or dinosaur around. In Sneak, sleepers stir with a warning and then look around, so you time your dash for teeth, hiding friends or clues. In Herd you walk behind sheep, ducks or cows to push them into the pen.

WHAT THIS EXAMPLE SHOWS

A world seen from above with four ways to play: collect everything before the timer, eat smaller creatures to grow, sneak past sleepers to grab every item and reach the door, or herd animals into the pen. Use the sample to name the audience, the main action, and the smallest useful first version. Cleo HQ then helps turn your own brief into a product plan and a working build.

QUESTIONS FOUNDERS ASK

Which game ideas does it fit?

Ideas where you move one character around a map seen from above. A unicorn collecting rainbows, a bee making honey, tidying a messy room, mowing the lawn, a hungry shark, a tooth fairy collecting teeth without waking anyone, hide and seek in a spooky house and a sheepdog rounding up the flock all start here, each in its own mode with its own pictures and words.

Can little kids play it?

Yes. A gentle setting is made for young players and never shows a losing screen. The timer runs slower and simply stops at zero, a bigger creature only bumps you away, and being seen only sends you back to the door. There is also a calm setting with no timer at all, for anyone who would rather explore at their own pace.

Is there any fighting or shooting?

No. Nothing in this world shoots, fights or gets hurt. You collect, eat smaller creatures, sneak and herd, and every picture is drawn by the game itself, so it looks sharp on any screen. Scores are points only, the best score for each mode is kept in the browser, and there are no ads, prizes or money anywhere in the game.
