POCKETFUL BUDGET PLANNER: SPENDING & SAVINGS

Give the month a clear shape. Pocketful keeps manual income and expenses beside category limits, savings goals and dated set-asides, so you can see what is available after savings.

Your notebook saves in this browser and can be backed up as JSON. The sample figures are fictional; clear them before entering your own records. Pocketful does not connect to banks, move money, convert currencies or provide investment, tax or business accounting advice.

WHAT THIS EXAMPLE SHOWS

Plan personal monthly income, expense limits and savings goals with a private browser notebook. Pocketful uses manual records, one currency and dated set-asides, with JSON backup and strict transaction CSV support. Use the sample to name the audience, the main action, and the smallest useful first version. Cleo HQ then helps turn your own brief into a product plan and a working build.

QUESTIONS FOUNDERS ASK

How does Pocketful calculate available money?

It shows income, expenses and savings set-asides as separate figures. Available after savings is income minus expenses minus dated contributions to goals. A contribution is an allocation, not another expense, so it is counted once. Goal totals include contributions from every month.

Can Pocketful connect to my bank or move money?

No. You enter transactions yourself; Pocketful never connects to a bank, initiates payments or verifies an account balance. It uses one currency at a time, and changing currencies is available only when saved amounts are zero, so Pocketful never exchanges or relabels money. It is for personal record keeping and arithmetic only.

Where are my records saved, and can I move them?

Your notebook saves on this device in this browser. There is no account or cloud sync. Export a JSON backup to keep or restore the complete notebook, or import a strict Pocketful transaction CSV to append records. The included example is fictional; start fresh before recording your own money.
